Healing was never meant to be a privilege
The Kairos Circle
Scholarship Fund
Kairos Therapeutic Retreat exists to make transformative healing accessible to those who need it most. The Kairos Circle Scholarship is designed for people whose health journey has also been a financial one: cancer survivors, people in active treatment, caregivers, and those managing serious chronic conditions who cannot access care without support.

Kairos Therapeutic Retreat is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to returning healthcare to its intended purpose — healing, not gatekeeping. We offer immersive therapeutic retreat experiences for people navigating serious illness, caregiving, grief, and chronic health challenges.
We know that the people most in need of restoration are often the same ones least able to afford it. The Kairos Circle Scholarship Fund was created to change that equation. Funds are provided directly by individual donors, foundations, and community partners who believe that access to healing is a human right.
Scholarships may cover part or all of your retreat cost — including program fees. No repayment is ever required. There is no shame in asking.
About our structure: Kairos Therapeutic Retreat is the nonprofit fiscal sponsor of this scholarship fund. If you are referred through a partner organization or wellness provider, your scholarship application is still reviewed here — by us — with the same care and confidentiality.
Scholarship FAQs
To be eligible you must be impacted by cancer or a serious health challenge, and face a financial barrier to participation. Specifically, you qualify if you are:
A cancer survivor— completed active treatment (chemo, radiation, surgery, or immunotherapy) within the past 10 years, currently in survivorship, or managing cancer as a chronic condition
Currently in cancer treatment
A caregiver for someone with cancer or a serious health condition, including bereaved caregivers experiencing caregiver burnout or vicarious trauma
Living with a chronic illness or serious health challenge that impacts quality of life
Experiencing post-traumatic stress following medical trauma
Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of program participation. There is no maximum age limit.
No documentation is required for initial eligibility determination. Your self-reported health status and financial situation in the application are sufficient to begin the review.
Optional documentation — such as tax returns, pay stubs, medical billing statements, or a letter from a healthcare provider — may strengthen your application or may be requested by our team for high-value scholarships. You will never be disqualified simply for not having paperwork on hand.
Financial documentation is NOT required for initial eligibility — only optionally for final review of high-value awards.
Our primary income benchmarks are household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (approximately $37,650 for a single person in 2026), or up to 400% FPL with documented financial hardship from medical expenses.
However, income alone doesn't determine eligibility. Financial toxicity from cancer treatment — medical debt, lost income due to disability or caregiving, high out-of-pocket costs, or housing instability — may qualify you regardless of your income bracket. We look at the full picture, as you describe it.
Click "Apply Here" at the top of this page, or submit your completed application by email to scholarships@kairostherapeuticretreat.org. The application takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.
1 Complete the application — health background, financial situation, and what you're hoping to gain from the program
2 Submit via the online form or by email
3 Receive an acknowledgment email confirming we received your application
4 Decision notification within 30–60 business days by email or phone
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis year-round — there is no deadline.
You'll receive a formal scholarship approval letter specifying the program, coverage level (full, partial, or sliding scale), and next steps. Here's what follows:
1 Referral to Kairos Resilience Collective, LLC — our program delivery partner is notified of your award within 10 days of approval
2 LLC contacts you within 7–14 days to schedule your program date
3 Complete enrollment forms with the LLC — liability waiver, health questionnaire, and emergency contact
4 Receive pre-program information — what to bring, venue or platform access details, orientation materials
Scholarship approval does not guarantee immediate program placement — availability depends on program schedules and capacity. Your scholarship award letter will clarify timing.
A denial is almost always a matter of funding availability rather than a judgment of your need or worthiness. If you are not approved, we will contact you to discuss alternatives — a partial scholarship, a sliding scale, waitlist placement, or a payment plan through Kairos Resilience Collective.
You may also formally appeal a denial:
Submit a written appeal within 14 days of receiving your decision notification
Your appeal is reviewed by a separate Appeals Sub-Committee — a different reviewer than the person who made the initial decision
You will receive a final determination within 30 days of submitting your appeal
All appeal decisions are final
For the 2026 program year, available offerings include:
Inner Spiral Trilogy (Guided) Digital — Live 4 weeks $333
Coming Fall 2026:
Inner Spiral Trilogy (Self-Paced) Digital — Evergreen 4 weeks $TBD
Resilient by Design Digital — Live 12 weeks $999
Scholarships this year are directed primarily to digital offerings.
A full scholarship covers 100% of the program fee — all programming, sessions, materials, platform access, and for in-person programs when available: accommodations and meals. You'll have identical access to every aspect of the program as any other participant.
Partial scholarships cover 50–75% of the program fee; your contribution is 25–50% on a sliding scale based on your ability to pay. Sliding scale access provides a variable discount (25–75%) determined case by case.
Scholarships do not cover:
Transportation to or from an in-person program location
Personal expenses or childcare
Hardware, personal internet service, or devices needed to access digital programs
Lost wages or time off work
Your application is reviewed only by authorized Kairos Therapeutic Retreat staff. It is never shared with other participants, program facilitators, or third parties — with one documented exception: if your scholarship is approved, we will share only your name, contact information, and scholarship level with Kairos Resilience Collective, LLC for the sole purpose of enrolling you in a program. This requires your explicit consent, which you provide in the application.
Other participants will never know you received a scholarship. There are no visible distinctions within the program — no markers, groupings, or references to financial arrangements. You belong here fully and completely.
Aggregate, de-identified data (e.g., total number served, general demographics) may be shared with funders for grant reporting. Your personally identifiable information is never included.
Kairos Therapeutic Retreat is the nonprofit organization that administers the scholarship fund. This structure means donations to the fund are tax-deductible for donors and are governed under nonprofit standards — ensuring funds must be used for their stated purpose: expanding access to healing for people facing financial barriers.
Kairos Resilience Collective, LLC is our program delivery partner — the entity that runs the retreats, online courses, and direct programming. Once your scholarship is approved by the nonprofit, you're referred to the LLC to complete enrollment. The two organizations work in close, documented partnership.
Your relationship with each entity is kept separate. Your financial application stays with the nonprofit; your healing experience happens through the LLC.
Donate to Kairos Therapeutic Retreat
Kairos Therapeutic Retreat was founded to empower cancer survivors to thrive through research-validated holistic healing — helping them reclaim their health and build resilience after the trauma of treatment. That mission has never changed. What has expanded is our recognition that the healing framework we developed for cancer survivors speaks to something more universal: the human need for nervous system safety, self-worth, and purpose in the aftermath of any serious health challenge.
Sponsor a Retreat
At Kairos, we believe that every cancer survivor deserves the opportunity to thrive, to heal, and to connect with a community that supports their journey. Our retreats and digital programs provide a sanctuary for survivors to rediscover their strength, but we cannot do it alone. Your support makes it possible for us to continue offering these transformative experiences.
Inner Spiral Trilogy
Today, our Kairos Circle Scholarship Program makes it possible for people who cannot afford integrative healing programs to access them anyway. Our first scholarship-eligible offering is the Inner Spiral Trilogy — a 4-week live online program that guides participants through the three foundations of lasting healing: nervous system regulation, reclaiming self-worth and belonging, and discovering the thread of purpose that runs through even the most difficult seasons of life. Your gift funds a scholarship seat for someone who needs this work and cannot pay for it on their own. Every dollar goes directly to access.
